Professional Development Committee

In alignment with the Division of Student Affairs 2025 Strategic Plan, Theme #3.1 (Organizational Excellence), the Student Affairs Professional Development Committee (PDC) was established to plan, implement and coordinate division-wide professional development activities, programs and initiatives.  The Student Affairs PDC offers ongoing opportunities to improve, develop, and expand the knowledge, skills and abilities of staff within the division.

Scheduled intermittingly, staff will be able to participate in 30 to 90-minute Zoom professional development webinars.

All staff are welcome to participate and are encouraged to attend, just make sure to get your supervisors’ approval and register before the session so we know to expect you. To register, head over to the Professional Development Committee Calendar and click on the Register button.

Have questions about a particular session? Want to present on some material? Contact the PDC co-chairs, Wendy Williams-Clark or Rochelle Pinkney. Send general inquiries to the Professional Development Committee. For more information, review the VCSA Professional Development Committee Virtual Workshop Best Practices document.

Update:  Consistent with guidance from campus and public health officials to encourage social distancing to limit the community spread of the coronavirus, all HR facilitated learning and professional development training sessions and VCSA Professional Development Committee workshops will be held remotely until further notice.  Registrants will be sent a link to participate online.
